About Company

Bimac is the Midwest’s premier source for precision investment and ceramic mold castings. Serving customers around the world from our 35,000 square foot facility, Bimac provides one-stop shopping for the highest quality precision investment and ceramic mold castings, weighing from just ounces to over 300 pounds, and in over 100 different metals.

Bimac was founded on June 30, 1959, with the filing of incorporation papers by two scientists, Dr. William Schneble, an MIT chemist and metallurgist, and Dr. Clyde McQuiston, an aeronautical engineer with an undergraduate degree from Purdue and doctorate from The Ohio State University, where he taught foundry practices while studying for his doctorate.

The name “Bimac” is a combination of each man’s name: “Bill” and “Mac.” These two men recognized an opportunity to bring innovation to the precision casting industry, and began producing castings in a new, state-of-the-art foundry, located in a rented building on Montgomery Street in Dayton, Ohio.

By 1967, the business had grown to the point of needing a larger facility, and moved to its current location at 3034 Dryden Road in Dayton. During early years, the majority of Bimac's business was making ferrous and non-ferrous castings for General Motors plants, machine shops in Dayton, and various manufacturers' assembly lines. As business continued to grow, Bimac began producing castings for many different industries, including aerospace and the military, throughout the United State.

Dan Bizzarro and Bill Jordan went to work at Bimac while still in college. Upon completing college, they joined full time as manufacturing and engineering executives. Roger Reedy joined Bimac in 1973, and the three took ownership of the company in 1986.

In the early 1980's, Bimac added an investment casting operation, which grew rapidly. After a facility expansion was completed in 1981, a non-destructive testing facility was added, providing radiography, penetrant and magnetic particle inspection services. A third expansion added a machining facility with in-house tooling for completely machined castings.

In 2017, Bimac Precision Castings was acquired by Ventoux Industrial Holdings, a private equity firm that focuses on building strong manufacturing companies throughout the United States. After an extensive search in 2018, Ventoux selected Martin Murphy, an Investment Casting Industry Veteran as the new President/CEO of Bimac to lead it into the future.

Bimac's 59-year anniversary has just passed last month and our goal is to continue the long legacy of providing high-quality castings to its customers for the years to come. We plan to immediately invest in additional capabilities and manpower, including adding in-house heat treatment and upgrading our wax injection equipment in order to expand throughput to more quickly process customer orders and shorten lead-time. Bimac will continue operating in Dayton, OH and is excited about adding more jobs to this vibrant business community.
