Berman Bros., Inc. has proudly earned a reputation of high quality new steel products and scrap recycling services with a personal touch and commitment to safety.
In the early 1940's, Milton and Harry Berman started a small scrap yard on Jacksonville's East 8th Street, M. Berman & Co. and Berman Bros., Surplus & Sales, dealing in WWII surplus items. With the addition of the first baling machine, furnace and roll off truck in Jacksonville, the companies merged into Berman Bros., Inc. at 2726 Evergreen Avenue.
In 1971 & 1972, after finishing tours in Vietnam with the U.S. Army, Milton's sons, Eric and Charles, joined the company full time. As the company progressed, we established our steel service center and grew into our current location at 2500 Evergreen Avenue as a full service steel warehouse and scrap recycling facility.
In 2005, Rubin Iron Works, LLC, joined the Berman Bros., Inc. family. Located right around the corner, Rubin Iron Works, LLC, has been in service since 1920, specializing in the rolling, shearing and bending of plate, structural shapes and other forms of metal fabrication.
With our long history servicing the southeastern United States, Berman Bros., Inc.'s family extends to our employees, customers and community. In addition, our participation in the Federal Empowerment Zone, Jacksonville Enterprise Zone and other charitable contributions, we have dedicated ourselves to our neighbors and our neighborhood's revitalization.
