The predecessor of the modern JSC " Beltsvetmet " is the Belarusian republican production and procurement department " Vtortsvetmet ", created on January 1, 1966. for the centralized turnover of scrap and waste of non-ferrous metals throughout the BSSR in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Non-Ferrous Metallurgy of the USSR of November 29, 1965 No. 42. Since January 2012, Beltsvetmet OJSC has been incorporated into the Belarusian Metallurgical Company holding.

JSC "Beltsvetmet" is the largest enterprise in the Republic of Belarus that specializes in the procurement and processing of scrap and waste of non-ferrous metals, has its own foundry and fully meets the needs of industrial enterprises of the country for non-ferrous metals, at prices cheaper than foreign analogues and not inferior to them in quality ...

The main activity of OJSC Beltsvetmet is the processing of procured non-ferrous scrap metal into high-quality products - aluminum alloys, brass alloys, copper wire rod, bronze products and other processing products, with their subsequent sale. 

The structure of Beltsvetmet OJSC includes the main production complex in the village of Gatovo, five workshops located in all regional centers and the Tsvetmet Unitary Enterprise in the city of Zhodino, capable of involving the entire volume of non-ferrous scrap that is generated in the country into economic circulation.
