Baker Metal Products seeks Architect in Dallas, TX.

Baker Metal Products Inc. designs and manufactures custom metal and glass facades for the curtainwall industry.

Produce and submit shop drawings which include plans, sections, elevations and details using construction documents including Architectural and Structural drawings as well as project specifications, using tools such as AutoCAD and Bluebeam and other graphic software. Work together with the structural engineer to design workable curtain wall designs which conform to the architectural intent. Generate production drawings for use in the factory to manufacture components of the curtain wall systems. Perform quality assurance tasks related to shop drawings and production drawings.

Requires Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field plus 2 years of experience. Requires 2 years of experience preparing shop drawings for curtain wall and other type of exterior cladding for buildings by using AutoCAD software. Requires 18 months of experience working with the various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials and other physical sciences to be able to complete the drawings. In addition, one must have 18 months of prior work experience in drawing with AutoCAD.
