Azzuro ... Innovative air treatment that matters!

Our products are robust, economical and safe! We operate under ambient pressure and ambient temperatures, without hazardous chemicals or hazardous biology.

It has been proven that we are able to eliminate toxic and explosive compounds in gas streams without the need for additional safety requirements.

We have experience in compounds such as: highly explosive and toxic CS2 and also random compounds like BTEX, hydrocarbons, ammonia and organic sulfur.

The first biofilters, developed in the early 80’s, were organically based and would consist of peat, vegetable mulch, bark or wood chips. Although it was certainly a step in the right direction, the disadvantages were endless. The organic biofilters required a large surface area, would compost, would show a loss of buffer capacity and nutrients and the material change-out was rather labor intensive. The most important disadvantage and ultimately the downfall of organic biofilters was its inconsistent performance.

The latest development in biofiltration can no longer be associated with the old technolody: the process performance has become so reliable that we guarantee it, our vertical, above-ground units offer the smallest possible footprint in the industry. And although synthetic carrier material has, for the longest time, been the way to go, Azzuro is using its latest invention to set the new Industry Standard.
