HISTORY

For more than thirty years, AZ Kabel bv has been the only recycling company in Belgium that focuses so specifically on cable recycling. Without ancillary activities, we can fully focus on cable processing that is as good and environmentally friendly as possible. This results in constant innovations and optimization of the processing process.

In the past, the laws regarding waste processing in general and scrap processing in particular were not yet as strict and defined as they are now thanks to OVAM. More than once, waste electricity cable was simply set on fire to recycle the copper in it. The enormous urge to abandon these outdated, environmentally unfriendly ways of cable processing was the biggest motivation for business manager Geert Debacker to go in his own direction. With that in mind, he founded AZ Kabel. His vision for a new, correct and above all environmentally friendly way of cable recycling is still our main motivation.

That we are a dynamic and growing company is evident in many respects. For example, our branch in Tielt was expanded a few years ago to make way for a new warehouse and two new processing lines. This enables us to process even larger amounts of cable waste and increase our reach.

Because we carry out the processing ourselves, we eliminate middlemen and can offer our customers a highly competitive price. In addition, our container service is adapted for all types of companies. So anyone from small sole proprietorships to multinationals can sell their cable waste to us.
