DESCRIPTION:

Avanti Mining Inc. (TSX-V: AVT) is an exploration and development company with its primary project in northern British Columbia, Canada. The Kitsault Molybdenum Project, previously operated by Kennecott and Amax has produced in excess of 30 million pound of molybdenum intermittently between 1969 and 1982. When the mine was closed in 1982 due to low prices, approximately 95% of its then calculated reserves still remained to be mined. Since 2008, the Company has undertaken confirmatory and resource expansion drilling programs on the project.

In 2014, the Company completed a NI 43-101 compliant technical report which outlines its plans to redevelop the mine. Discussions with strategic partners, off takers and various lending institutions are well underway to provide the funding needed to begin construction of the Kitsault project in 2014. Agreements to date include an off take agreement with Germany-based ThyssenKrupp Metallurgical Products for 50% of total molybdenum production from Kitsault and a molybdenum concentrate processing agreement with Chilean-based Molibdenos y Metales (Molymet). Both agreements are for the duration of mine life.

On March 18, 2013 the British Columbia provincial government issued an Environmental Certificate approving the project. Permits necessary for start of construction are in process and expected shortly.
