Founded in 1981, Automation Engineering Company works in collaboration with some of the world’s most demanding manufacturers to develop sophisticated turnkey material handling solutions that optimize plant efficiency and safety.

From our beginnings as a systems controls company, AEC has invested significantly in talent, equipment and capacity, to provide leading edge thinking, design, fabrication and integration. Today, operating out of our Greenville, SC-based 55,000 square foot facility located in the center of the Southeast’s innovation corridor, AEC works with both original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier 1-3 suppliers to make companies more competitive on a global scale.

Our areas of specialization include Aerospace, Automotive, Tire, Tube and Pipe (OCTG), Distribution and Manufacturing. Automation Engineering is a fellowship partner with the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research, a 250-acre campus in Greenville, SC, where academia, industry and government organizations collaborate on automotive research.
