Aurcana Corporation is a Canadian junior mining company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange, with a goal to become an emerging senior silver producer.

Aurcana owns and operates two high quality producing silver mines located in favourable mining jurisdictions: the La Negra mine located in Querétaro State, Mexico and the Shafter silver mine located in Presidio County, S.W. Texas.

La Negra mine was brought into commercial production by Industriales Peñoles S.A. de C.V. and operated from 1970 to 2000 when the mine was put on care and maintenance. The mine was placed back into production by Aurcana in 2007.

Under Aurcana’s management the resource base at la Negra has been increased substantially with commensurate mill expansions from 1,000tpd in 2007 to 1,500 mtpd in June 2010, to 2,500 mtpd in April 2012 and to a nominal 3,000 mtpd processing capacity in April 2013. Mill debottlenecking continues to ensure a sustainable 3,000 mtpd throughput.

The Shafter silver mine is located 375 km southeast of El Paso, in Presidio County, southwest Texas, a historic mining district.. The mine has excellent infrastructure, both in terms of year-round access via a paved highway and recently upgraded utility power..

In 2008 Aurcana completed the acquisition of the Shafter Silver Mine from Silver Standard and following a feasibility study. Construction and development of the property continues, with initial production commencing in December 2012. Full production is anticipated by mid-2014
