The company was founded on July 7 ^th 1989 and was located in Arlington Heights, Illinois on a half acre lot with a 2400 square foot building. On July 23 ^rd 2007, the store relocated to Palatine, Illinois on a two acre parcel with a brand new, state of the art, 23,000 square foot facility. This new location has enabled substantial growth and Arlington Power Equipment continues to be a leading force in the Midwest’s landscaping and arborist supply industry.

About the Owner

Dorothy Saranzak founded Arlington Power Equipment in 1989 as it was her dream to own her own company. To this day, she continues to personally run the business with the help of her family. In 2007, she gambled and moved the company to a larger store and lot in Palatine. Customers and vendors responded enthusiastically to the improved location. Better known as Dottie, she is a certified minority business owner with the City of Chicago.
