It all started in 1920 when Vincent Bellezza arrived from Piedmont at Izeaux station to work in one of the famous shoe factories in Isère.

For fifteen years, after the factory, Vincent collected the skins of rabbits, goats, sheep, foxes, bones, agricultural scrap and cardboard boxes, not to mention glass bottles.

Pick up is done by bike, then Vincent buys a donkey and then a van car!

Around 1936, he hung up his worker's cap for good and began to work full-time in recovery. He buys a cardboard press, a crocodile shears, an overhead crane to load the cardboard bales.

With his wife Marie, also Italian, they will have a son, Paul (died at 18 in the maquis) and a daughter, Marguerite, born in 1930. She will integrate the family business and will remain there all her life with her husband: Sébastien Barbagallo.

Sébastien, then a hairdresser by trade, learned the ropes of the recovery profession with Vincent then created his own pruning company.

When Vincent died in 1967, Marguerite and Sébastien took over the business and bought their first skip loader truck with which they placed the first containers in the factories… It was at this time that the company gradually stopped collecting bottles. and skins to focus on industrial customers: paper mills, foundries, factories, textiles, etc.

Their children, Paul, Jean-Marc and Marie-Christine created the company ARC EN CIEL in 1984 and moved the site to develop the activity of collecting and sorting industrial waste.

30 years later, ARC EN CIEL RECYCLAGE represents 4 sites in Isère with the openings of the Beaurepaire sites in 2010, Bourgoin-Jallieu in 2013 and Domène in 2019.

A founding member of the PRAXY network, the company has also developed in special and hazardous waste to meet customer demand: to offer a global management service for all waste!

And the story continues today with the integration of the 4th generation into the company ...
