ApplianceCare is the product of two companies merging under the WasteCare umbrella.

WasteCare is an established business recycling and managing waste across a diverse range of materials from an equally diverse range of sources – including electrical waste covered under the WEEE Directive.

WasteCare acquired Appliance Care Recycling in early 2015 to enhance its WEEE recycling capacity and capability, facilitating the reconditioning of appliances for supply to trade and commercial customers nationwide. The former Appliance Care Recycling facility in Colchester was developed by a start-up family business into a successful, large scale specialist WEEE recovery and appliance reconditioning centre.

ApplianceCare’s operations are now shared between their Colchester site covering the south of the UK and their Wakefield site covering the north. The range of appliances available has been extended to include brand new products in addition to the existing reconditioned appliances.

As a company, ApplianceCare work for the benefit of their customers and the environment through the provision of effective, reliable and compliant recycling services designed to provide the cost-effective and safe recovery of reusable materials from waste products and the sale of guaranteed reconditioned appliances to the public, trade, charities and housing associations.

As part of the WasteCare group, ApplianceCare are fully compliant with all aspects of the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE)
