Andy began his journey at Natchitoches – Central Area Vocational Technical School in 1977. After graduating, he worked as a jeweler for two years before he and wife Kathy opened their first store in 1979. The store was located in Opelousas, Louisiana where they served their loyal and valued customers for twenty years. In 2000, the Truxillos became part of the Independent Jewelers Organization. In 2001, Andy and Kathy expanded their business and moved to Lafayette, Louisiana.

At our store, we don't just see our customers as customers; they are our family. We support them by donations to schools, the arts, and the community events. We are also a proud sponsor of St. Jude Children’s Hospital. We are involved with their dream home giveaway every year.

Andy’s Jewelry is a full service jewelry store. We carry unique jewelry pieces, which our customers love. Our full service repair shop includes: jewelry and watch repair to wax carving and casting. We also design and customize pieces.
