American Iron & Metal's roots in the scrap metal business date back to the 1960s when Jim Warren began helping his family run a small scrap yard in Southern Colorado. Then in 1981, Jim and his wife, Bernadette, expanded in Southern Colorado with the founding of American Iron & Metal in Pueblo, CO. In the late 1990s, American Iron & Metal installed its first automobile shredder in Pueblo, followed by another shredder installation in Colorado Springs in 2006, and most recently, a third large shredding plant installed at the Company's new facility in Pueblo with plans of installing a sister plant in New Mexico in the near future.
With the help of valued suppliers, customers, and employees, Jim, Bernadette, and their four children have expanded their third generation scrap business to five locations throughout Colorado and New Mexico and into a regional leader in the scrap metal recycling industry. Accordingly, American Iron & Metal and the Warren family are committed to excellence in serving their suppliers, customers, employees, and the environment. American Iron strives to make selling and recycling scrap metal as fast, easy, and profitable as possible for its suppliers. The Company is equally focused on providing quality products and timely delivery to its customers. Most importantly, American Iron & Metal is committed to recycling safely and soundly for its employees and the environment.
