When Ben and Pauline Rassieur founded Paulo in 1943, most manufacturers in St. Louis were handling heat treating in house. They saw an immediate need for commercial heat treating. This was an opportunity to allow manufacturers to focus on their core businesses, while Paulo focused on delivering high-quality heat treating.
And starting from their small converted store with homemade salt baths and second-hand tempering furnaces, they’ve stayed true to this original idea.
Today, the company has nearly 400 employees across five divisions in St. Louis, MO; Kansas City, MO; Murfreesboro, TN; Nashville, TN; and Cleveland, OH.
The third and fourth generations of the Rassieur family are active in day-to-day management of Paulo, working hard to fulfill the original promise to help manufacturers be at their best.
