About Company

Amazon Paint had been providing solutions for the use of leftover water-based paints since 1992. Using patented processes we have manufactured many million pounds of paint into alternative products.Contact Amazon for green solutions to your unwanted paints. We have provided unique solutions for leftover paints, even paints that may have expended their useful life as a coating.Paints with residual coating value can be used to manufacture a green, recycled content coating that can be added to the product line of any paint manufacturer.Alternatively we utilize several patents to manufacture non-coatings products from reusable or spent paints.Paint Stewardship programs managed by PaintCare in California, Oregon and future programs will greatly increase the amount of leftover paints collected in the United States.Amazon Paint looks forward to working with PaintCare and other Paint Stewardship programs throughout the United States by utilizing all paints in environmentally responsible products, reducing paints send to landfills and incinerators. Our sister company, Hotz Environmental, located in Ontario, Canada can provide similar solutions for Canadian paint manufacturers.

Amazon Select™ are premium quality, eco-friendly latex paints. They’re manufactured from quality, surplus paint that Amazon collects from government, business, and consumers.Amazon's paint reprocessing system guarantees that every gallon sold meets strict specifications for color, gloss, viscosity and coverage.Amazon Select meets or exceeds the performance specifications of national paint brands. The best quality paints of desirable colors received at Amazon are manufactured into Amazon Select Recycled Content Paint. Other paint is manufactured into a basic paint product that may be used for graffiti abatement. Amazon also uses several patented processes using paint as a binder or dust control agent in the manufacture of various products including portland cement. Amazon is able to beneficially recycle virtually 100% of the leftover paint received. By using Amazon as your paint recycler, you are protecting natural resources and preventing old paint from going into landfills. The availability of places to take your leftover paint depends upon where you live. In some states, such as California and Minnesota, there are well developed programs called Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) facilities that take leftover paint (and other materials that should not go in the trash) for no charge. In other states there may be few, if any, places that will accept your waste paint for recycling or disposal. For information on where you can take leftover paint, try contacting your local county government, go to http://earth911.org/ or call 1-800-CLEAN-UP. Please note that most Household Hazardous Waste programs do not accept paint from businesses. However, Amazon will accept non-hazardous water based paints and some chemically similar wastes from businesses for recycling. Please contact us for fees and further information.
