Allied Steel Industries began when founder & current partner Allan Witman left Del-Penn Steel in 1989 to form his own company. Allan, with his 25 years of experience in the steel business was confident that his years at Del-Penn Steel had helped him develop the necessary relationships with suppliers and end users to be successful in the steel industry.

At first, Allan used his steel and many local processors to continue to cater to his long list of end users including, lighting manufacturers, locker & shelving manufacturers, as well as the HVAC and Steel Building Industries. 

In the mid 90’s we began to buy and sell structural steels in addition to the flat rolled products to better service our varying customers. 

CURRENTLY: 

While we still process for a limited amount of customers, a bulk of our business is now as a master distributor of both flat rolled and structural steel products.We can proudly state that we are one of the premier purchasers of aged, obsolete, damaged, slow moving, claim, and excess steel products.

These products have grown from just HR, CR, Galvanized, Galvanealed, and Galvalume products to all types of structural steel products comprised of pipe, plate, beams, squares, rects, flats & angles, rebar, and other types of steel. 

The Allied Steel family has nearly a century of collective steel experience. Our team comes from former yard foremen, inventory managers, outside sales, computer technicians, office managers, and traffic managers that help to diversify our company and keep each other on their toes. 

We purchase inventory from all sources both inside and outside the steel industry. Like most companies we can buy and sell the “common” sizes, but we specialize in hard to move, slow moving, aged, odd sizes, and mixed bag offers!
