ALLIED STEEL NY/NJ COMPANY HISTORY

The Steel Corporation was established and has been operating continuously since 1969. Originally the business primarily engaged in the manufacturing of solid Steel waste containers. As the Steel container industry began to change, the focus of Allied Steel's business changed to the Distribution and Fabrication of Steel, concentrating on serving the New York Tri-State area. Allied Metal Industries, Inc., also known and doing business as Allied Steel, really started expanding by the mid 1990’s and it’s customer base began to explode with unprecedented growth, developing Allied into a Steel Supplier, Distributor, custom steel fabricator, structural steel fabricator and metal fabricator all under one roof supplying a broad range of New jersey, New York and Pennsylvania's industries from the Solid Waste industry, Transportation, Utility, Manufacturing, Specialty, Restoration and Construction, as well as the Structural Steel Industry. Diversification became one of Allied Steel’s strengths as the company expanded as a sheet fabricator and plate fabricator and grew as a metal fabricator of aluminum and stainless steel, broadening its fabrication capabilities.
