DESCRIPTION
Freimuth Enterprises LLC started recycling in 2005. I had been looking for a product that currently wasn't being recycled and find a way to remove as much of it from the solid waste stream and either reuse the product or recycle it.
In the spring of 2005 I found it, it was mobile homes. I teamed up with a small demolition company and while they did the demolition and removal of the wood, insulation, and other deconstruction debris. I would cut out and remove the wiring, plumbing, aluminum siding, skirting, steel frame, tires, and appliances to be recycled.
Over the next few years mobile home parks would request me to recycle more and more items. Everything from old BBQ's to lawn mowers. The need to expand into a shop was clear by the summer of 2008.
In the fall of 2008 in an effort to recycle more of the items in house rather then passing them on to other recyclers. I spent some time looking into my home city of Lino Lakes along with the city of Columbus for a building that would work for my growing needs. The stock market along with the housing market had just collapsed and at that time a spot at the Waldoch Conversion center opened up. After meeting with the Columbus city council I was quickly approved and moved into the Waldoch location soon after. I must thank Don Waldoch and his family for giving me the opportunity to use one of his buildings.
I also applied and was approved for my VSQG Hazardous waste generator ID. This allowed me to remove and handle the oil from old lawn mowers and other items that have hazardous waste in them.
In the summer of 2009 I applied for and received my license as an electronics collector and recycler. I am now able to collect electronics, disassemble them, and recycle the components.
In the fall of 2009 I acquired my Refrigerant Recovery Certification. This allowed me to remove freon from appliances, I also applied for my self-certification for appliance recycling at that time. As of January 1st 2010 I am able to collect abate and recycle most household appliances and electronics.
Spring 2010 I recycled the electronics from the Lino Lakes spring recycling day on May 1st 2010.
Spring/Summer 2010 I am continuing to look for a larger location in the Columbus/Lino Lakes area. I need to expand so I can allow residential drop off along with my current commercial and residential pickup service. This will also allow me to hire employee's and offer more recycling services. I look forward to working with and serving the residents in my area.

As an Eagle Scout from Troop 186 in Roseville MN I learned to leave an area in better shape then when I arrived. Opening a local recycling center that not only accepts the basics (Steel, aluminum, copper....) but also accepts everyday items that are not as easily recycled (computers, TV's, plastics, appliances, electronics.....) and help allow everyone to conveniently recycle more of their everyday items.
