Alcart was born in Naples in 1941 where it operates and develops until 1990 when it moves to Isola del Liri (Fr) at its new industrial site for logistical and dimensional reasons.

It is a leader in the production, processing and marketing of food paper.

The company boasts a long family tradition and the current owner has been able to create a flexible reality, always attentive to technological developments with a strong focus on the individual needs of the customer.

In particular, the production and processing of food paper are based on the use of recycled paper, ensuring that the environmental impact is almost zero.

The company's goal has always been to achieve qualitative excellence. Objective achieved by combining various determining factors over time such as experience, attention to detail and details, continuous product and process innovations and constant attention to the service offered.

History

The Alleva family began its activity in the paper sector in Naples in 1941 thanks to the resourcefulness of Commendatore Domenico. He made use of the collaboration of his sons Salvatore and Raimondo. In the mid-1950s, after having operated only as traders until then (collaborating, among others, with the newspaper “Il Mattino”) they set up a paper converting industry with cutting-edge machinery. Within a few years it became a point of reference for all of central and southern Italy.

In 1963 the early death of Salvatore and the advancing age of his father Domenico leave Raimondo alone. The latter, fascinated by the world of production, gradually left the paper converting business to manage a paper mill that produced brown and yellow “chamois” paper from 1963 to 1978. In 1979, in collaboration with their father, the sons Domenico and Antonio and later Salvatore took over, undertaking the paper converting business again. Within a few years Alcart became one of the most important companies in Italy for the production of coupled paper for food purposes. The definitive leap in quality took place in 1990 with the transfer of the production and administrative activity to Isola del Liri (Fr). In the first years following the transfer, the Alleva brothers take over the former "Cartiera Trito", to then define in 1995 the purchase of the former “Cartiera Viscogliosi” where it still operates today. The production site is completely renovated both from a simple real estate point of view and by bringing the appropriate and continuous technological innovations to the production cycle. The synergy deriving from the combination of the connected paper mill and paper converting activities, a cutting-edge technological and production system but above all fifty years of experience and knowledge of the market and the paper sector have allowed Alcart to establish itself as a leader in the non only at the Italian level but also continental and intercontinental. In fact, especially in recent years, and in particular starting from the early years of the third millennium, Alcart's activity was characterized by a strong international component, mainly addressing the nearby Mediterranean realities. In 2005 the company was characterized by a strong expansion of the production sites in which it is divided in order to improve company logistics, to innovate its product and process line but above all to respond more effectively and efficiently to growing needs. of the market reaching new segments of the sector together with an intense customer loyalty.

Currently, Alcart is one of the market leaders in the production, processing and marketing of packaging paper, by now distributing its products throughout the Mediterranean basin and throughout Europe.
