Agronomic Information
AGVISE Laboratories offers soil and plant analysis along with pesticide residue testing services to crop consultants and fertilizer dealers across the United States and Canada.
During the past 21 years, AGVISE Laboratories has developed a reputation for providing the highest quality services in the soil and plant analysis industry. AGVISE Laboratories is comprised of an experienced technical support staff of professional soil scientists, agronomists and biologists.
Soil Testing
AGVISE Laboratories has 21 years of experience in soil testing. Soil testing is a process for evaluating the level of available nutrients and physical characteristics of soil samples. Soil samples are collected from representative areas of fields and then delivered to one of our laboratories for analysis. The laboratory analysis is completed within 48-72 hours and then sent to customers via email, fax, mail, etc. This soil test data is used to determine the rate of each nutrient required for the desired crop and yield goal requested by our customers.
Grid Soil Testing
Grid soil testing is one sampling procedure for evaluating the variability of nutrients within fields. This is accomplished by dividing the fields into small pieces or “grids.” These grids are then sampled and analyzed separately. The soil test data from each grid soil sample is then sent via email to our customers’ computers. This data is then used to create maps, which control the rate of applied nutrients on each grid.
AGVISE routinely tests the following parameters on grid fields and commercial fields:
- Nitrate-Nitrogen
- Ammonia-Nitrogen
- Phosphorus
- Potassium
- % Organic Matter
- pH
- Buffer pH
- Zinc
- Copper
- Iron
- Manganese
- Boron
