History

Afterwood is a family run business set up in 2011 by Jonathan Ford, bringing his experience of working with wood based products into a developing wood fuel industry. Supply of wood fuel on a bulk scale was still a fledgling industry and with Jonathan’s knowledge of the wood supply market, he brought in the distribution experience of Steve Parker to manage the supply of wood fuel to power stations.

The launch of the Renewable Heat Incentive in November 2011 encouraged the uptake of biomass boilers across a wide range of public and private sector organisations and saw Afterwood expanding its customer base with the company now supplying wood chip and wood pellets into nursing homes, poultry farms, leisure, schools and other organisations across the UK.
