Meet the Owner – Aric Van Weelden

Aric grew up in the solid waste and garbage industry, literally. His Grandfather, Father, Uncles and cousins all owned or worked for solid waste companies throughout the Midwest.

Aric personally learned the industry from working for Indiana Waste Systems, Allied Waste Industries, Veolia Environmental Services Hazardous Waste, all of which have provided him an in-depth experience in the waste industry. With so much waste experience in his background it is not surprising that Aric worked his way into the medical waste and document shredding industries.

Aric grew up in Northwest Indiana before attending Loyola University of Chicago. While at Loyola Aric played 4 years for their Division-1 basketball program as well as graduating with honors cum laude in Finance. During his college years he met his now wife Cara who played for the women’s soccer team and is an Orthopedic Physician Assistant in Indianapolis.

Immediately following his undergraduate studies at Loyola University of Chicago he worked on and completed his Masters in Business Administration from Loyola University of Chicago’s Quinlan School of Business.

Aric and Cara were recently blessed in 2018 with a little girl named Jordyn. Aric and Cara attend Trader’s Point Christian Church and reside in Zionsville, IN with their Deutsch Drahthaar’s (their dogs). In his free time Aric finds pleasure in hunting upland birds and waterfowl with his dogs, fishing, golfing, working out and spending time with his family and friends.
