Aerodyne Research, Inc. (ARI) provides research and development (R&D) services and advanced sensor and software products to industrial, academic and government customers addressing national and international challenges, including: monitoring and enhancing regional and global environmental quality; developing clean and efficient energy and propulsion technologies; and advancing remote sensing, surveillance and image processing capabilities for the national defense. Teams of ARI scientists and engineers perform fundamental laboratory and theoretical studies; build, run and analyze complex computer models and system simulations; design and execute mobile and fixed-site field measurements; and develop, demonstrate, and deploy advanced measurement instruments and systems.
ARI Staff
Two thirds of our staff of seventy-six hold advanced degrees in the fields of physics, chemistry, geophysical sciences, mathematics, computer science, and chemical, electrical, mechanical and aeronautical engineering. We often collaborate with colleagues from universities, government laboratories, and corporations. Using this network, we draw together specialists and facilities not available in individual organizations to meet demanding technical challenges. Joint projects with leading universities frequently give us an opportunity to contribute to the educational process both on site and on campus. Our scientists and engineers are also active in professional and technical societies. They regularly participate in national and international symposia and publish dozens of journal articles and symposium papers each year.
A dedicated staff of support professionals provides all of the services necessary for successful technical performance, including laboratory apparatus design, fabrication and maintenance, instrument fabrication, assembly and testing, technical information searches, contracting expertise, document preparation, and project management support.
ARI Location
ARI occupies a combined laboratory and office building in Billerica Massachusetts, 20 miles northwest of Boston, where we maintain state-of-the-art experimental laboratories and computational tools required for our research and product development projects. This site also includes instrument and component fabrication, assembly, testing and user training facilities to support our advanced instrument products.
