THE EXPERIENCE OF THREE GENERATIONS

More than 60 years of work, a long experience in the enhancement of industrial waste products, a deep know-how in the polymer sector. All this is the basis of AD Compound's success.

A1 Our story begins in Busto Arsizio in the 1950s, when Mario Mercandalli opens a business for the redevelopment of textile and plastic waste . In the decade following Mario, his son Giancarlo joins him and the recycling of paper and cardboard begins . But it is on plastic that Giancarlo wants to focus: in the experimental phase he makes use of the precious collaboration of his father-in-law Tommaso Perotti Nigra, chemist and researcher of Montecatini-Montedison, the company that allowed Giulio Natta to carry out studies on polymers that earned him the Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

In the seventies the company devoted itself completely to plastics using state-of-the-art technologies: washing plants, densifying mills, extruders to recycle industrial waste material.

We arrived at the end of the Eighties, with the entry into the company of Andrea and Davide, sons of Giancarlo. The compounding process on polypropylene waste bases is specialized and the family decides to concentrate all the resources in this path, investing in the laboratory and in research. The time is now ripe to create a new, great reality in the compound world.
