Our history

The choice to form a Consortium for waste disposal was made by the Municipalities belonging to the regional basin n. 10 already in 1977, with the establishment of the “Cuneo Consortium for the disposal of Municipal Solid Waste”; the identification of the area for the location of the plants is attributable to its centrality with respect to the catchment area, to the then marginality of the area compared to the concentric one, to the morphology of the area favorable to the construction of "sloping" landfills as well as to a compromise of the site due to the presence, nearby, of an old municipal landfill.

The first 26 Municipalities were joined over time by the other 28, bringing the number of consortium Municipalities corresponding to the current Regional Basin no. to 54. 10.

In 1995 the Consortium of Municipalities was transformed into a Special Company and called the Cuneese Waste Disposal Company – ACSR

On 29 December 2003, in order to comply with state and regional legislation, the Consortium Assembly of the Cuneese Waste Disposal Company decided on the establishment by splitting of ACSR Spa and the transformation of the Consortium Company into a basin consortium called the Cuneese Ecological Consortium - CEC

The CEC organizes basin services (collection, separate waste collection, urban waste collection).

ACSR Spa creates and manages the treatment and recovery plants for undifferentiated solid urban waste and those coming from separate collection (organic, bulky waste, plastic packaging, ...).
