The Acme Landfill has been “Contra Costa County’s Pioneer Sanitary Landfill” since 1954. We are committed to providing Contra Costa County and the surrounding communities an alternative waste disposal facility for green, wood and yard wastes, construction debris, and all other inert wastes. Our primary goal is to provide a disposal facility that utilizes sanitary landfill disposal methods and techniques, emphasizes recycling and resource recovery, and develops renewable energy for the America’s quest to reduce our Nation’s dependency on fossil fuels.
