Founded in 1954 by Mr. Cyril Simmonds, the company quickly took off in the field of steel distribution. For health reasons, Mr. Simmonds sold the company to Mr. Gilles David in 1983. The year was added to the name of the company and a new boom was felt, but the orientation remained the same. In the early 1990s, Aciers Simmonds joined the Transbec group, which guaranteed you the best prices on the market.

In 2019, Aciers Simmonds acquires Aciers Ménard. Steel distributor established in St-Alponse-de-Granby since 1979, Aciers Ménard enjoys a good reputation in the Granby region for its experience and customer service that makes it famous.

Now combining these two entities, Simmonds Steel becomes the benchmark in the Eastern Townships for deliveries of steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
