Acier Century was founded in 1924, by Daniel Dietcher, under the name of Century Iron and Metal Company. From 1970 to 1995, the Dietcher family became partners with the Beaudin family and renamed the company Century Metal. In 1995, the two brothers, Michel Chiasson and Karl Beaudin, became co-owners and changed the name of the company to Acier Century.
