1732-1771 Spain Silver 2 Reales VG
Product Description:
Discovered! America’s First Silver Quarter
Most folks don’t realize it, but the American Revolution wasn’t funded by American coins. When the daily needs of the Continental Army were paid for, the coins used were Spanish coins like these 90% Silver Pillar 2 Reales coins. They were the most common coins in circulation. In fact, they were the coins the colonists didn’t use to pay the British stamp tax and sugar tax—they just stuffed the coins back in their pockets! But today, like all other Revolutionary artifacts, they’re hard to find. We found a small lot at a great price and snapped them up for you. Each is in Very Good (VG) condition with a date between 1732 and 1771. Dates vary
