What began in the 1930s with the founding of a scrap trading company by Gustav Thommen in Basel is today, with its subsidiaries and holdings, one of the leading recycling groups in Switzerland for the most modern and comprehensive recycling solutions. 

Thanks to our more than 500 qualified employees and a very well developed infrastructure at ten locations in Switzerland, we recycle several tons of material every day. Thommen trades its products and materials nationally and internationally in accordance with customary market practices and classifications in various currencies and is in direct contact with brokers from the metal exchanges.
