The company Been & Zn has been modernized over the years under the leadership of the son and current owner S. Been. In 2001 he started implementing environmental measures in order to arrive at a Business Environmental Plan with ISO-Environmental certification as a guideline. The modernization involved expanding the activities, improving and renewing the vehicle fleet and equipment and asphalting the company site.
Organizational and economic measures were also taken, partly because of waste materials that are sometimes released during the sorting of metals. In addition, for example, the performance of inspection and maintenance activities, which are required according to the permit and/or by the manufacturer of the work equipment, is also recorded in the company computer.
