Capitol Auto Parts is situated atop property that used to be a slate quarry. In the 1800's, immigrants would come to this part of the country from Europe to work in the (then booming) slate quarries. Slate was the primary source for roofing and chalk boards.  With new innovations over the years, the demand for slate has decreased. Most all quarries are now closed. In the late 70's the property was purchased. Improvements were made to the old idle slate quarry to transform it into a modern recycling facility.

Capitol Auto Parts is a full-service automotive part recycler.  We do not offer any u-pull services nor do we purchase metals for recycling, only complete autos and trucks.  Each vehicle is photographed, inventoried, and entered into our computerized system.  Consumers and shops alike can look Online for our parts.  Since inventory fluctuates daily and we have many resources to consider, it's always a good idea to give us a jingle if you can't find what you're looking for.

Our Service Department is one way to combine our parts expertise with fair and trustworthy repairs.  Often times we save our service customer money utilizing a recycled part to fix her car.  'Buying direct' from us eliminates the middle man and helps to drive costs down.  We are a PA licensed inspection station.
