Originally established as Albany / Alloys Company, Schabo / Hudson and Hudson Scrap Iron and Metal Co. in Albany, New York in the late 1900’s: today, SherBro Metals is a leading metal management firm.  But it’s not just our size, decades of experience or longstanding relationships that distinguish us.  It’s also the unique abilities of our principal, Richard Sher, an expert alchemist who profoundly understands the core chemistry of metals – and just how to mix them to maximize their value. 

We grew up in the business, and take great pride in knowing it better than anyone.  Not just the alchemy of metal, but of the marketplace – who’s buying, where to place scrap, when to do it, and the many other factors that help you get the best possible prices.  Our state of the art equipment also translates to more efficiency, fair weights and better prices for our customers.
