Hickman Metal Recycling

Hickman Metal Recycling, best known as David Motor and Scrap, opened in January of 2016. David and his wife Lori Hickman run and operate this family-owned business. Most of the employees are family members that work well as a team.

David Hickman has been in the scrap metal recycling business since he was 13. His father J.D. Hickman and mother Inge started the business in 1962. In 1988, David bought the company from his father and renamed it David Motor and Scrap. In 2005 and forward David expanded his business and co-owned The Recycling Center in Pascagoula and Pearl River Recycling in Carriere.  In 2008, his next venture would be to open a shredder yard in Mobile, Al.

All yards were running great with the best employees. In 2012, he had the opportunity to sell all the businesses to perhaps retire. But David just cannot stay away from the scrap business. In 2016, he reopened the Biloxi location under the name Hickman Metal Recycling. We are currently growing stronger with our hardworking team.
