Our commitment to recycling and the environment began in 1988 when the first Metro Recycling facility opened in Blue Island Illinois. Since then, two additional metal recycling facilities were opened in Indiana. In 1998 we expanded into the auto part recycling business with the opening of Metro Auto Recyclers in Valparaiso.With the recent addition of our auto recycling facility in Indianapolis, we continue to expand our offering of quality, used OEM automotive and truck parts to our customers.

In 2010, Metro Auto Recyclers was recognized with the Indiana Clean Yard Gold Status by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management. This prestigious award has been given to only seven auto recyclers in Indiana. With this recognition, Metro Auto Recyclers has committed to go beyond what is required by environmental regulations to show that we are concerned with our community's well-being and have a strong commitment to protecting the environment.That strong commitment can also be found in our quality control measures and customer service. These memberships give Metro Auto, the industry tools and resources necessary to ensure that we are constantly engaged in our industry as well as access to continual training.Metro Auto Recyclers is a supplier of quality, used OEM automotive and truck parts. We deal primarily in auto and truck parts for late model vehicles. We also have a solid inventory of parts for vehicles of various makes, models and years.With several Indiana locations, we can service the needs of the individual do-it-yourself mechanic, body shops, auto repair shops, and new or used car dealerships throughout the state of Indiana; the entire Chicagoland area including the Northern, Southern and Western Suburbs; Southwest Michigan; Northern Kentucky; and Western Ohio.Whether it's a used engine, transmission, headlight, fender, starter or alternator, our locating service ties us into a nationwide network. This allows us access to a wide variety of parts, even if we don't have a specific item in our warehouses.

Quality control measures are in place to ensure that all used OEM auto and truck parts are of the highest advertised quality. Metro Auto’s Standard Warranty backs purchased parts for 90 days. In addition, Metro Auto Recyclers offers a Lifetime Warranty on almost any purchased part.Buying parts from recycled vehicles helps sustain the environment while providing the benefits of receiving original OEM auto and truck parts of high quality.
