Founded in 2012, the mission of Memory for Memory is to increase the funding, education and awareness of Alzheimer's disease.With over 12 years electronics recycling experience, and a family that has been directly impacted by dementia and Alzheimer's, the founders decided to make a difference. By assisting consumers, schools and corporations with the problem of unwanted and unused electronics, Memory for Memory is able to achieve its mission of helping to preserve the memory of others through donations to Alzheimer's research.

Memory for Memory has a clearly defined goal:

• Provide a service to consumers and businesses to recycle unwanted or unused electronics that they would otherwise not know how to properly recycle.
• As part of the recycling process, educate the donors as to the impact and severity of Alzheimer’s and dementia.
• Donate all profits generated from the recycling and resale process to fund the continued research, support and cure of Alzheimer’s and related dementia

Electronics Recycling

Our GREEN SHIELD process ensures that each item is accounted for before it leaves your home or workplace. Knowing where and when your items are recycled is just as important as how.
Residential consumers, small and large businesses, hospital systems, government agencies and school systems all face the same challenges of proper recycling. The GREEN SHIELD Process has detailed procedures, documentation, chain of custody and data secuirty protocols to eliminate any risk when retiring end of life assets.

The GREEN SHIELD process includes:

• Customer sign off on assets before they leave your care, custody and control
• NIST Level Data Security (800-88)
• Cerificate of Recycling and Data Security
• All downstream partners or processors are R2/RIOS or e-Stewards Certified. 

When your computers and electronics reach the end of their economic or useful life, a large amount of data can still be stored on the device. Many consumers and companies struggle with what to do about this problem. They don’t have the resources to erase the information, and they end up holding the items fearing the data will get into the wrong hands.Memory for Memory follows the most detailed and current data security processes as outlined by the National Institute of Standards and Technology in NIST 800-88 .
