Fluorecycle is an Illinois Corporation formed for the purpose of recycling hazardous fluorescent and HID Lamps, which have been designated universal waste by the EPA. We recycle the lamps to their component parts including the distillation and reclamation of the hazardous mercury. Our company is regulated by the USEPA and IEPA and we meet all of the standards set forth by these agencies. We use state-of-the-art equipment to process your lamps in an environmentally safe and legal manner.

The mercury cycle starts when mercury containing lamps (fluorescent and HID) are tossed into the general refuse. The trash is sent to a municipal landfill where exposed mercury leaches into the ground and ultimately our water supply. The fish and animals absorb the mercury and pass it up the food chain. Prolonged exposure to mercury can cause significant heatlth problems.Fluorecycle is dedicated to the protection of the environment and reduction of hazardous mercury waste to our landfills. Help us to help you, by recycling your mercury containing lamps with us, rather than depositing in a municipal landfill.
