A part of the Wausau community for nearly 25 years, IROW (pronounced eye-row) was awarded the Small Business of the Year Award in 1998. First known as Industrial Recyclers of Wisconsin, Cory Tomczyk, president and owner, decided to simplify the name, and go instead by their abbreviation. That name has stuck, and is now synonymous with a dependable, honest team of waste management professionals.

Document and Paper Shredding Services

IROW is the only area business in North Central Wisconsin with the prestigious National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) document and paper shredding certification. NAID, a non-profit organization, establishes minimum standards for employee hiring and screening, operations, the destruction process and insurance as well as other security factors associated with document and paper shredding services.

While NAID sets the criteria for the certification, an impartial, independent security professional conducts the audit and reviews the 14-page detailed application, containing the following details: policy and procedure manuals, employment records, promotional materials, logs and paperwork to verify that they meet certification requirements, facility security monitoring systems, destruction equipment and access to control systems.
