History

Hill Country Recycling Corp. is a family owned and operated business established in Marble Falls Texas in 2002, buying ferrous and nonferrous metals. We started with 3 employees on 1.5 acres, and since that time, have expanded to an 8 acre facility with an 11000 sq. ft. building with 25 employees. At our facility we process newsprint, cardboard, plastics, along with the ferrous and nonferrous metals.
Hill Country Recycling is 100% dedicated to customer satisfaction. Our management team always looks for opportunities to grow our business, whether in the recycling industry or our local community. We are always aspiring to achieve a higher standard in business. Hill Country Recycling is a registered metal recycling entity in the state of Texas and abides by all state and federal laws. We keep all necessary insurances to handle our customer’s needs and we work with an environmental company to insure that we are an environmentally conscientious company.Hill Country Recycling offers containerized service for all industrial work sites. This includes drop off and pick up services of 20, 30, and 40 yard containers, as well and 4×4 containers. We also have flatbeds, drop deck, and end dump trailers if needed. We provide a pickup ticket with a number on the ticket so you can reference back to all loads that are picked up and are happy to assist our customers in any way possible.

CARDBOARD

Hill Country Recycling accepts old corrugated cardboard for recycling. If you have any questions please contact us to help assist you with your recycling needs.

CARDBOARD RECYCLING TIPS

  • Prepare cardboard for recycling by removing all other materials in the box such as plastic wrap, polystyrene peanuts and other packing materials.
  • Break down cardboard boxes to save storage space.
  • Try to keep cardboard dry and free from food waste. Cardboard can get wet and still be recycled, but is more difficult to carry due to the added weight of the water.

Plastics

On the plastic material there will be a recycle symbol, inside the recycle symbol there will be a single number 1-7. If there is a 1 or a 2 inside the symbol it is acceptable at our facility.

Why They Use It: Plastic #1 is a clear plastic that is ideal for beverages because of its moisture-barrier properties. This material has smooth surfaces and is made for high impact. So drop it, roll it or throw it – the resin will hold its shape and protect the substance inside.

PAPER & NEWSPRINT

Hill Country Recycling accepts old magazines, old newspapers (ONP), office paper, old telephone books, and residential mixed paper (RMP). Paper suitable for recycling is called 'scrap paper,' often used to produce molded pulp packaging.
