The green movement started in 1994 for the owners of getrecycled.net. The reality of e-waste was upon us 15 years ago. Seeing just a fraction of the different technology waste going to the landfills was staggering. Much time was devoted to capturing spent printer cartridges, remanufacturing, and then remarketing them. Since 1994, computer recycling in Kansas City has become the responsible way to dispose of unwanted electronics.

In 1994 the founders of getrecycled.net were seeing the early signs of technology recycling and e-waste.Employed by a local remanufacturer of toner and inkjet cartridges, we quickly saw the marketplace being wide open in the fields of recycling. We experienced explosive growth in a virgin market that provided not only experience but wisdom. The founders had experience in the printer cartridge market from a operation and sales perspective. The excitement and market demand for recycling and green initiatives was just beginning and we saw the potential for great things not only in the supply side of the business but in the hardware side of the business as well.May 1, 2005 the founders ventured off into the recycling and refurbishing space for IT hardware and related items.With an emphasis on refuribshing inkjet and laser printers, we quickly saw explosive growth developing our own sales channel providing quality products to the wholesale and third party markets. In the last eight years we have developed and maintained lifelong friendships with our partners including both vendors and clients.
In 21012, we decided to brand and market the getrecycled.net concept and take it to the corporate environment. Our concept with our existing relationships has helped grow this side of the business to a sustainable business model.
