We are offering comprehensive services to recover, re-market, recycle computers and all other electronic waste.We recycle all of your computer and electronic components by using our data wiping software first (when needed), then disassembling the parts and grouping the materials together. Electronic Waste Pick-Up Service

AK Recycling will assist you with picking up your electronic waste from your location. We provide you with a 'transfer of ownership' document and also send you a 'Certificate of Disposition' as soon as the materials has been weighed in at the AK Recycling facility.
AK Recycling's developed processes will support the tracking and reporting of all materials entering our facilities. We track all equipment throughout the electronics recovery and recycling process. For example, we record serial numbers, asset tags and model number identification details for all focus materials. At the final destination, any recycled assets that are noted, will have a certificate of destruction and any legal indemnification statements attached to the final report.
Our computer and electronics recycling services follow strict compliance with “Zero Landfill' and “Zero Export of Hazardous Waste” policies. Our Data Security Services (Hard Drive Destruction and Hard Drive Wipe) will be done accordingly through our Department of Defense (DOD) certified overwrite processes. This will ensure our clients that no confidential information breaches or transfer of license software will occur.

We believe that every individual should have the peace of mind of knowing that their identity is protected and that their data will never be discovered after disposing of their computers or any electronic device.At AK Recycling, our processes of data security adhere to the Department of Defense (DOD) certified processes which are executed on hard drives to completely sanitize all data and software before final disposition of data storage equipment. Our complete physical media and data destruction is performed in highly secured, highly supervised and monitored facilities. Each customer shipment is assigned its own distinguished customer number for security and confidentiality, which allows us to identify materials throughout the process. We also record and document serial numbers from the hard drives and all other focus materials to meet recording requirements.Non-operational hard drive media will be physically destroyed in compliance with DOD standards ensuring no confidential information breaches or transfer of license software occurs.Whether you are disposing of hard drives, cell phones, fax machines or other electronics, you can be rest assured that we will leave no trace of your data behind.

E-Waste

'Electronic waste' (e-Waste) may be defined as discarded computers, office electronic equipment, entertainment device electronics, mobile phones, television sets and refrigerators.This definition includes used electronics which are destined for reusing, reselling, and recycling. Others define the re-usables (working and repairable electronics) and secondary scrap (copper, steel, plastic, etc.) as 'commodities' and reserve the term 'waste' for materials which are dumped by the buyer. This includes residue from reuse and recycling operations. Because loads of surplus electronics are frequently commingled (recyclable, and non-recyclable), several public policies advocate the application of the term 'e-waste' to all surplus electronics.
