Cooter Enterprises is a family owned and operated recycling company in Omaha, Nebraska. Our company has been built on service, honesty and pricing. Cooter’s started in 2005 recycling used cars and by 2007 had grown into a full service recycling center. Our recycling center is conveniently located in downtown Omaha at 1613 N. 11th Street.
We recycle automobiles, auto parts, all non-ferrous metals, and computer parts. We purchase materials from the general public and from commercial clients. We pay top dollar for your scrap metals, and offer special pricing for larger quantities.
Recycling
About a third of all aluminum produced in the United States comes from recycled scrap. Using recycled aluminum is generally cheaper than producing new aluminum. Amazingly, aluminum can be recycled indefinitely and still be used to produce any product for which new aluminum could have been used.
Stainless steel contains a minimum of 11% chromium, and is often combined with nickel, to resist corrosion. Stainless steel is 100% recyclable.

Cooter’s has been recycling converters since 2006. We purchase from the general public, muffler shops, salvage yards, towing companies, service stations and local scrap collectors. A catalytic converter is a vehicle emissions control device that converts toxic pollutants in exhaust gas to less toxic pollutants. Catalytic converters contain valuable precious metals including platinum, palladium and rhodium. Cooters buys converters to recycle them for the precious metals they contain.
