A cyanide strip method is employed for gold-plated scrap products, with recovery and treatment of solutions also performed. Our processes result in zero discharge, emissions-free, efficient and “clean” recovery, along with quicker turnaround.
M&K Recovery Group offers more than thirty years of experience in precious metal refining and reclamation. Our environmentally sustainable refining process is efficient both in its recovery of precious metal scrap materials and its turnaround time, providing increased value to our customers. We are committed to maximizing the recovery of precious metal scrap materials while also upholding the most stringent environmental standards and satisfying our customers.
Electronics Recycling
Partnering with recycling and asset recovery experts is crucial. M&K ownership delivers on three decades of experience in the electronics recycling and refining industry. It is widely recognized that the world’s natural resources are scarce, finite, and quite costly to acquire. As a result, there is increased emphasis on the recycling and conservation of these critical resources. “Going Green” means implementing organizational strategies that will properly manage and reduce your waste streams.
The electronics recycling business has developed in response to a critical and rapidly spreading problem in the developed world: electronic waste. Electronic waste is the fastest growing segment of the waste stream and comprises seventy percent of the overall toxic waste found in landfills. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reports indicate that approximately 2.4 million tons of electronic waste was disposed of in the country in 2010. Computers, which contain up to eight pounds of toxic materials such as lead, mercury, and cadmium, contribute the greatest amount of electronic waste.
When lead, mercury, and other toxic wastes are improperly disposed of, they pose various health and environmental risks, including risks to workers and increased pollution in the form of dioxins, carcinogens, heavy metals, and greenhouse gases.
M&K Recovery Group has offered a solution to this urgent problem since 1995. The expertise of our employees as well as that of our longstanding, downstream partners allows our customers to recycle their electronic media in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner. Through careful electronics recycling, refining, and remarketing processes, we address a very real problem and fulfill an urgent, worldwide need.
