Papillion Sanitation is the leader that provides solid waste collection, transfer, disposal and recycling services. We are a locally managed company that is staffed by several people who are proud to call Omaha and the surrounding towns’ home.

Papillion Sanitation has been providing solid waste removal and recycling services to residents and businesses since 1975. Our service area covers: Omaha, Papillion, LaVista, Elkhorn, Gretna, Springfield, Louisville, Bellevue, Ralston and Murdock, Sarpy County and Cass County.We are committed to delivering superior service to all of our customers and to supporting the environment. Alternating Week Recycling Collection

We encourage all residents to participate in our every-other-week-expanded recycling program. Collecting the recycling every other week equals less wear and tear on your streets and lessens the carbon footprint, which in return is much better for the environment. The more you recycle the more you benefit YOUR community. Place the following items directly into your bin. Please do not place in separate bags.The schedule of your pickup is sent when your container is delivered. You will be assigned either a Red week or a Blue week. If you are not certain what your week is, please contact our office for assistance.

Get Rewards for Recycling with RecycleBank
Papillion Sanitation has partnered with RecycleBank to reward households for recycling. We’re excited to offer this completely recharged and reinvented way to recycle. What makes this program unique is that you and your family will earn points with RecycleBank based on the amount of materials the community recycles. Best of all—there’s no more sorting required!

The amount a household recycles is converted to RecycleBank Points that are deposited into that household’s RecycleBank account online each time there is a pickup. A recycling truck identifies the correct home and account by a unique ID tag placed on a home’s recycling cart. With the RecycleBank Points deposited into their account, members can use their points to redeem for the rewards of their choice at over 1,500 local and national businesses.

Commercial Recycling

Papillion Sanitation is proud to also offer recycling services for businesses. Two programs for commercial recycling are available, each with options for open top roll-off containers and compactors:

Co-mingled or Single Stream Recycling
With our co-mingled recycling program, we will recycle aluminum and tin, paper, cardboard and plastics #1 through #7 in one front-load container. The container sizes for this service range from a 2 yard to an 8 yard and hauling service is provided up to 6 times per week.

Cardboard-Only
With our cardboard-only recycling service, front-load containers are provided and hauled up to 6 times per week.
