Locally owned and operated Firstar Fiber is one of the region's largest full service recycling companies. In our eleventh year of operation, we have developed and offer our municipal and business customers innovations unique to the industry and region. Examples include:

• our launch in 2006 of Nebraska's only Material Recovery Facility to process single stream commingled recyclables for both residential and commercial recyclables

Services We Provide

Single Stream Processing of Residential and Commercial Materials
Our Omaha Material Recovery Facility, the only one of its kind in Nebraska and western Iowa, enables municipalities, businesses and trash haulers to commingle all types of recyclables. This added convenience for residents and employees increases participation and capture rates. The results? Lower disposal costs and increased revenues for generators. Our mechanical sorting system, supplied by Bulk Handling System, also reduces collection costs (Omaha's curbside program was able to reduce the number of trucks needed to service its needs by over half).

Brokerage
With over 100 combined years experience, our team is adept at finding homes for all types of recyclables, from paper to industrial plastics and everything in between. Our team, from mill relations manager to our logistics and accounting staff, recognize that the 'deal' isn't done until both the mill and the generator are completely happy that the material is picked up on time, delivered in the form that meets all parties' expectations and payments are made in full and in a timely fashion. Our attention to customer service has produced lasting relationships and the respect of both mills and generators across the country and internationally.
