Our facility can accommodate small and large loads, bulk dumps, tractor-trailer loads and railcar loads. Materials can be delivered loose, gaylorded, skidded or baled. Services include pickup of loose, baled, or palletized recovered paper. We also process, market, and broker all wastepaper grades.Plant equipment includes a high-speed, high-density automatic baling system. Our 70-foot, certified truck scales offer computerized weight and accounting systems, which provide detailed and highly accurate load reports. We also offer computerized inventories for reliable invoicing and payment.

Our facility also offers numerous truck docks as well as ground-level access, helping ensure efficient service.In November 2007, we became an inaugural KY EXCEL Partner by completing voluntary activities that will benefit Kentucky's environment and its communities. We are a member of the Bluegrass Partnership for Green Community's Reduce, Reuse, Recycling team, which seeks to sustain and preserve our regional quality of life by protecting the environment and conserving resources, especially by minimizing waste and preventing pollution.

In 2007, we were pleased to sponsor the Lexington Art League's 2007 Recycled Matter(s) exhibit and many other community recycling projects such as Rain Barrels, University of Kentucky Formula SAE and Lafayette Band. POST-CONSUMER

  • Aluminum cans (UBC): Baled. Used beverage containers only. All-aluminum cans; no bi-metal cans or other aluminum containers or materials. Should be drained and magnetically separated and free of other contamination.
  • Steel food cans (SFC): Baled. All-steel used food containers. Lids must be attached or discarded. Should be lightly rinsed and dry. Labels do not need to be removed.

POST-INDUSTRIAL

PAPER PRODUCTS

Central Kentucky Fiber Resources LLC of Lexington, KY, specializes in identification, handling, distribution, and marketing of recovered paper stock. With more than 35 marketable grades of paper worldwide, it is important to connect with a vertically integrated company that has a proven track record. We can handle paper in various forms, including whole rolls, butt rolls, bulk, boxed, baled, palletized, shredded, or in gaylord containers.

Below, you will find a partial list of the paper products we handle. Please contact us about the materials your organization wishes to recycle.

Old corrugated containers (OCC): Baled, bulk, loose, or palletized. OCC consists of used domestic brown Kraft boxes and similar paper. May contain usual and normal amounts of tapes and packing labels. Typically found in grocery stores, manufacturing plants, and commercial and industrial facilities where material is usually clean of other paper. Prohibited materials include chipboard, other paper, coated paper, waxed paper, insoluble coatings, and all non-paper materials

Double-lined kraft corrugated cuttings (DLK): Consist of new corrugated cuttings having liners or test liner, jute, or kraft. Treated medium or liners, insoluble adhesives, butt rolls, and slabbed or hogged medium are not acceptable in this grade.

Newspaper (ONP): Fresh dry, loose-sorted newspaper, white blank news, pressroom overruns and normal percentage of rotogravure and colored sections. Prohibited materials include magazines, junk mail, bundled news, heavily printed news, other paper than newspaper.

Magazines (OMG): Clean dry, loose, separated magazines, catalogs, and other coated groundwood paper. May contain some other coated papers. Prohibited materials include plastic-wrapped magazines, bundles, kraft, OCC, and junk mail..

Phonebooks (GWD-IGS): Gaylord or palletized. Clean, loose, dry telephone directories and other catalogs, directories and publications containing all groundwood paper with plain paper covers. No plastic laminated covers, bundled books, wet or non-groundwood paper.

Each square foot of processing and warehousing space can accommodate multi-material loads. The facility is monitored 24/7 by closed-circuit TV, ADT Alarm, and a sprinkling system to help ensure safe and confidential handling of all materials. Destruction assurance is also available.
