About Us
Industry Pioneers with Over 75 Years Experience in Central Ohio.
The Loewendick family, pioneers in the waste disposal industry and providing recycling solutions in the Central Ohio area for over 75 years, has been operating the Frank Road Recycling Solutions facility since 2002.
The facility has been professionally engineered and constructed to include the latest in environmental safeguards and to ensure compliance with all of the latest Ohio EPA regulations. The C&D landfill is licensed and regulated by the Ohio EPA and the Franklin County Board of Health and has a projected site life of 56 years.
In the ongoing efforts to innovate and stay on the forefront of Central Ohio's C&D Frank Road Recycling Solutions has committed to provide more extensive onsite materials separation recycling for constituents of the waste stream where viable and reliable end-markets can be found.
Increased C&D Recycling by Being Proactive
In order to develop a cost-effective and efficient C&D Recycling system, sufficient quantities of C&D materials and market outlets for the sorted/separated materials must coexist. In addition to providing a state-of-the-art facility and working with local contractors and building owners to maximize the intake of recyclable C&D waste, Frank Road C&D is continuously working on markets development efforts in order to maintain and increase profitable markets and make C&D Recycling, in Central Ohio, a win-win proposition for all involved.
On the cutting-Edge with 'Green Projects'
A national movement has emerged, over the past five years, organized by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). This project-specific effort encompasses new constructions and renovation projects and takes form as a national program called Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).
LEED is an effort to provide a national standard for what constitutes a 'Green Building' and covers issues ranging from sustainability of sites, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, indoor environmental quality, and innovation and design process.
More and more architects, contractors and building owners are desirous of conducting 'Green Projects' within the LEED guidelines and receive credit points within the 'Materials and Resources' section of LEED for their efforts advancing materials reuse and recycling.
