Island Return It is a family owned and operated since 1995.Since day one, it has been our goal to make recycling a convenient and easy part of your lifestyle. We brought bottle depots out of the traditionally dark industrial site / junkyard locations by offering our customers bright, clean, well organized and centrally located recycling centres on the Island. We have expanded our recycling services to include many recycling programs to make it easier on our customers. By making recycling a positive experience, we hope that we are able to encourage more individuals to do their part in recycling, benefiting all of us both locally and globally.
Island Return It supports local charities and community groups dedicated to help people. We support the efforts of groups such as Cowichan Sportplex, Big Brothers and Big Sisters as well as Habitat for Humanity. In addition we assist in organizing bottle drives for many children’s team and school fundraising events, enabling them to make the most of their efforts and be successful in reaching their objectives. We are also supporters of the performing arts on Vancouver Island. We are proud of the high quality of local productions by groups such as The Chemainus Theatre Festival and Music by the Sea. We also support Music Festivals and special cultural events throughout Vancouver Island.
With your help, we were able to recycle just over 1 billion containers since we first opened in 1995. Also we were able to divert thousands of tons of E-waste out of the landfills but also that didn’t end in Third World Countries. We make every effort to provide efficient service and are always endeavoring to improve. Over the years our business has grown and we would like to thank you, our customers.
