Universal Service Recycling Inc. has been family owned and operated since 1996. We started out as a one yard operation here in Stockton California.Through the building of quality individual and commercial relationships founded on honesty, integrity, and customer service, we have grown into the largest privately held metal recycler serving California’s Central Valley.

At this time we have locations in Stockton, Sacramento, Modesto, and Merced that serve San Joaquin,Stanislaus, Merced, Sacramento, Amador, Calaveras, Mariposa, Madera and East Alameda Counties.Universal Service Recycling has built long-term relationships with domestic and international steel mills and foundries by providing quality products at competitive prices, prompt delivery, and excellent customer service. We take pride in the fact that we supply a bulk of material to local companies in the northern California region further helping support our local economy.

Our Merced facility collects recyclables from the Merced County.  It is another large feeder facility that sends their aluminum cans, water and other plastic bottles, as well as scrap metal to the main Stockton recycling facility for further processing, transporting, and shipping to mills located throughout the nation as well as internationally.

We purchase cans and plastic bottles from the general public for cash as well as industrial scrap metals from businesses.  We are equipped with heavy equipment including the shredder shown above to sort, crush, cut, and shred all types of metals so they can then be milled into metals for reuse.  Our processed scrap metal is shipped domestically and internationally by the tons.
